Manager Marketing - Lead Generation and Market Analysis
Job Description
Drive growth for the water treatment chemicals business by generating qualified leads across India’s industrial and institutional markets, strengthening the distributor pipeline, providing actionable market intelligence, and ensuring strong coordination between distributors, sales teams, and technical support to convert opportunities into long-term contracts. Lead Generation: Identify and generate qualified leads across key segments: Industrial: Cement, pharma, textiles, chemicals, paper mills, sugar, food & beverage, auto & auto-ancillary, engineering units, etc. Institutional: Hotels, hospitals, malls, IT parks, commercial buildings, FM/housekeeping contractors, packaged STP/ETP operators, OEMs. Build Ideal Customer Profiles for key applications: Cooling water, boiler water, RO/membrane treatment, ETP/STP additives, evaporator/desalination, antiscalants, biocides, corrosion inhibitors, flocculants/coagulants. Develop target lists via industry directories, EPC/OEM lists, LinkedIn, pollution control boards, and distributor intel. Run outreach campaigns with clear value propositions: cost-of-use savings, lower downtime, compliance with CPCB/State PCB norms, better water recovery, improved energy efficiency, convenience (all-solids), monitoring expertise, etc. Market & Competitor Analysis (India – Water Treatment Ecosystem): Build market size, segment-wise opportunity maps (industrial clusters: Hyderabad, Vapi, Ankleshwar, Panipat, Chennai area, Pune area, etc. for each state). Track competitor moves: Ion Exchange, Thermax, Vasu Chemicals, Nalco/Ecolab, Wex-Aquatech, SNF, regional formulators. Conduct price benchmarking for our products v/s competitor products. Create market intelligence dashboards for OEM activity, tenders, new plant announcements, and SPCB compliance updates. Distributor Coordination & Channel Enablement: Support national and regional distributors with lead sharing, opportunity qualification, and funnel visibility. Ensure distributors log leads, samples, site-surveys, and trial updates in CRM. Conduct monthly distributor review meetings—pipeline, closures, risks, credit hygiene, and training needs. Organize product training: cooling tower chemistry, boiler chemistry, RO cleaning & pretreatment, STP/ETP optimization. Track distributor effectiveness: hit rates, responsiveness, technical capability, and customer coverage. Sales Follow-up & Conversion Support: Track sample dispatch, dosing trials, and performance data with sales & technical teams. Coordinate technical audits, jar tests, water quality analyses, and dosing recommendations. Ensure all documentation is ready: TDS/SDS, product compliance, CoA, dosage charts, cost-benefit proposals, AMC structures. Support in creating proposals for contract-based water treatment (e.g., cooling tower AMC, boiler treatment contract, RO plant chemical supply with KPIs). Drive structured follow-ups until PO/AMC closure. Data, Reporting & CRM Management: Maintain a clean, up-to-date CRM with complete funnel visibility (lead → sample → trial → conversion → retention). Create weekly funnel reports for BU head and management. Maintain customer segmentation, opportunity value, probability scoring, and timeline tracking. Prepare management insight reports: demand patterns; industry expansions; high-potential clusters; distributor activity metrics; competitor pricing

Strong commercial acumen and distributor management. Technical selling ability and knowledge of water chemistry. Structured follow-through and accountability. Analytical skills — pricing, costing, industry mapping. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
