Deputy General Manager Accounts and Finance
Job Description
1. Financial Management & Reporting Lead end-to-end finance and accounting operations of the company. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and applicable accounting standards. Ensure timely closure of books of accounts and audit readiness. Develop and monitor financial KPIs, dashboards, and management MIS reports. Present financial performance analysis to senior management and board. 2. Budgeting & Financial Planning Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. Monitor budget vs. actual performance and recommend corrective actions. Conduct profitability and cost optimization analysis across plants, products, and customers. Support strategic business expansion and capex planning. 3. Working Capital & Treasury Management Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury operations. Optimize working capital including receivables, payables, and inventory cycles. Monitor fund utilization and ensure liquidity planning. Handle banking facilities including CC, term loans, BG, LC, and project financing. 4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory regulations. Coordinate tax assessments, audits, and regulatory filings. Lead internal and statutory audits and ensure closure of audit observations. Ensure adherence to corporate governance and internal financial controls. 5. Internal Controls & Risk Management Strengthen internal control systems and SOPs across finance and operations. Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation measures. 6. SAP & Process Improvement automation initiatives in SAP Improve finance processes, reporting systems, and data accuracy. Collaborate with production, procurement, supply chain, and sales teams for process integration. 7. Team Leadership Lead and mentor finance, accounts, costing, and commercial teams. Build a high-performance finance culture with strong accountability. Coordinate with plant and cross-functional departments 8. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Manufacturing costing GST and direct taxation Working capital management financial planning & analysis Internal controls and audits SAP Advanced Excel and MIS reporting skills.
